Forthcoming Meetings

Autumn 2008

All our indoor meetings are held in Blackburn Central Library, Town Hall Street, Blackburn. Meetings normally start at 7.30, however members start arriving around 7 to discuss various  things ! Feel free to get there early - even better why not take the opportunity to use the facilities in the Community History Library on the 2nd floor - staff will be pleased to help you.

Meetings are normally in the Abram Room on the first floor of the Central Library. The library has an entrance on Town Hall Street and also on Northgate. There is also a lift at each entrance so no need to walk up the stairs.

All start at 7.30pm
Tuesday 25th November 2008 Tony Foster - James Greenway

Tony will talk about James Greenway, noted resident of Darwen

Tuesday 9th December 2008 Christmas Social
This will be our annual Christmas Social, similar to those enjoyed in previous years. It will include those refreshments regularly provided for Santa on his visits, namely Sherry & Mince Pies.  Ray Smith is going to organise a quiz based on slides of Blackburn and a light-hearted memory test for "Things on a tray" will follow.
Please let us know at least a day or two before so that we can provide sufficient refreshments.
